Why we use distributors
The Bath Buddy is piece of equipment that involves a home demonstration,
the suitability of the product needs to be ascertained before a direct sale
purchase is made.
We find that it is cost effective for us to use distributors because this provides a nationwide coverage without the need for us to employ a nationwide sales force. Customers benefit from this because they receive a more prompt service because there is a nationwide coverage.
The distributor is responsible for advertising the Bath Buddy.
Customers also benefit from a demonstration in the comfort of their own home, rather than visiting a mobility shop.
UK Distributor:
Nationwide Mobility are a long serving distributor and have recently become our sole UK distributor.
Foreign Distributors:
A distributor is a foreign company who sell the Bath Buddy within their foreign country.
The foreign distributor would buy and own the Bath Buddy's, perhaps stored in their warehouse. It is the distributor that negotiates their own terms with their customers.
We tend to use sole distributors for country's so that they have exclusivity to the market, they focus and put their energy into selling our Bath Buddy. We use distributors because it is simpler for the customer, without logistical issues.
